Naxos is the largest island located in the center of a group of islands called the Cyclades. It was the heart of Cycladic culture – one of the first and most important civilizations in the Mediterranean.
Marble statuettes, temple ruins, Byzantine monasteries, Venetian castles, crusades by pirates, conquerors and struggles for freedom are only part of the island’s rich history that counts four millennia of human presence. Today, It is the most fertile island in the Aegean, with a friendly and hospitable population.
